How to Lose Weight over 40

Our weight loss programs for women over 40 are based on the science of Nutrigenomics. Nutrigenomics is a measurement of how our genes are influenced by our diet, exercise and lifestyle. Our genes react to choices we make and inturn communicate with our bodies to create reactions.

Weight Loss for Women over 40

The success of our How to Lose Weight over 40 for women program is based on supporting each individual’s genetic preposition to ensure immediate and long-lasting weight loss.

How it works:

Step 1 – Current Health Condition

  • You complete a questionnaire based around your current diet, exercise and lifestyle and discuss with your practitioner to discuss current weight loss goals
  • Your practitioner takes a non-invasive saliva test, this is sent to the lab for analysis
  • The lab sends a personalised genetic profile back to your practitioner

Step 2 – Plan of Action

Based on your genetic profile your practitioner will identify where you need:

  • Supplement Support
  • What diet and exercise based on your genetic predisposition suits you

There is no guesswork when it comes to losing weight with genetic testing, the treatment plan is based on your own genetic profile.

Menopause Weight Loss

As part of the structured of our How to Lose Weight over 40 plan above our practitioner will also ask you to complete a set of pathology tests. Most pathology tests from your GP do not cover specific hormonal testing. These hormone specific pathology tests may give your practitioner even more insight to where you need support around your hormones depending on what stage of menopause you are currently in. This will ensure you are well supported through your menopause years whilst losing and maintaining weight.
Through your personalised woman’s weight loss program you will also experience:

  • Regulation of hormone imbalances
  • Menopause balance
  • Healthier ageing
  • Increased energy and vitality
  • Better sleeping patterns
  • Relief from joint pain
  • Heart health
  • Regulated Blood pressure

Imagine having a personalised plan based on your genetic structure, factual information! No one person is the same, our genetic testing and customised programs produce results, please see the success story below.

Why Some People Find It Difficult To Lose Weight

With Sheridan Genrich, Naturopath & Nutritionist

Success Story

Doing my DNA profile has helped me gain information that has helped me on a number of levels.

Firstly, I felt better about my previous struggles, knowing there was an underlying genetic reason for my obesity and yoyo weight gains. I felt better about the fact that it had a root cause. I suppose I could have felt powerless to do much about it but instead, it energised me to fight against it. I am actually proud of myself for losing weight. My genetic profile would indicate this is very difficult for me and I am prone to rebound weight gain. It also encourages me to fight harder to not allow myself to regain. I don’t think I can get away with things anymore.

Also, there was always a point in the past when I assumed I could eat normally. Now I have much more information and it enables me to “talk straight” to myself. In food terms, it has changed my whole way of eating. I found that I cannot tolerate a high intake of saturated fats and my body is designed to store these.

As a result, I do not generally eat meat or animal fats like hard cheese. I love cheese and wine, I just don’t eat the cheese any more. (I am still working on the wine). It makes it much easier to maintain my weight loss. There are times when I do eat them but very rarely. The point is I can now make an informed choice.

Overall, I would say that this is the best decision I have made as it has given me information that has helped me make sense of my struggles and gives me tools to make decisions for the future. I just can’t kid myself anymore as I know the truth!!!
